Why I see myself fat but everyone else thinks I'm skinny?

I'm right under 5' 6 and 120 pounds and I feel fat. I'm not trying to be funny at all, I'm seriously disgusted with myself when I'm around my other friends who are around my height and just over 105 pounds wearing size 0 jeans with tiny waists. I'm a size 5 and I HATE it. I don't wear bathing suits in public and I try really hard to lose weight. Ill go for a couple days only drinking diet drinks and small salads. I have a pudgy stomach and wider hips and it looks nasty to me. Whenever I talk about how I want to lose 15 pounds people laugh and don't take me seriously but it's true. Today I only had a diet Dr. Pepper and a salad with fat free dressing. I use to weigh 106 pounds but right before I turned 19 I started gaining and my hips got wider and now when people see me they make comments like, "Oh your not super skinny anymore! You look so nice." But I just take that as in I'm not skinny. I don't take pictures of myself and when someone else gets a picture of me I feel so gross when I look at it and rip it up because I look even fatter in pictures. Am I as crazy as people say? Why does no one else notice that I actually am fat?

  1. you are so not fat, darling. 5'6'' and 120 lbs is not fat. not even close. I think you should talk to your doctor. It's a psychological disorder that can develop into anorexia or bulimia. you don't have to be skin and bones to be anorexic. it's simply when you feel fat but you're not. seek help, it'll change your life for the better. you are noooot fat!
  2. Because you are not. You realize that models who are like 5'7 are around 120 pounds. Yeah that's right. You would be underweight if you lost 15 pounds. Also you are a model size! If you go to even numbers you are probably a 4 which now most models are. You are super tiny for your height and you do not need to lose any weight. You are actually damaging your body by doing these crazy diets. If you want to be healthy cut the soda and eat fresh healthy foods.
  3. Maybe you just feel that way because the people you are around are just really skinny. Dont put yourself down. i know that i have felt that way before. if you reallly want to lose weight just try to eat healthier. But that does not mean eatting a little amount.my friend got really sick from not eating enough and trying to be skinny.exersise.live your life and love yourself!!
  4. Oh Jesus. Sweets, ALL of us are insecure with ourselves. Take this from someone, who used to have depression. You are so not fat. You're perfect. Tall-&&slender. And, trust me guys don't won't those girls that wear 00 pants and you can count their ribs. Own your beauty. Be happy with yourself. And, don't let anyone tell you different.c:
  5. Everyone sees themselves as fat. I'm 5'5 and 105 pounds, and sometimes I worry that I'll break the desks at school. Your probably like "Umm what? No.." And that's exactly what we're doing about you. Everyone sees themselves as something they're not, because they don't go around staring at people ALL day thinking "she's fat". We honestly are just doing it to ourselves
