are people who draw gory pictures of blood and guts usually evil or sick minded to a curtain level?

i have a wide variety of nice friends who have many friends who are artists and they often draw some pretty weird and gruesome stuff like animals that are stabbed, things that are bleeding, and guts. I don't know these people well but it seems like they're also nice people but it doesn't make sense as to why they would draw such things. I've always wondered what goes through their mind when they draw these things. Why do artists sometimes draw things like that? Does it mean that they are evil to a curtain level?

3. I'm not sure evil is the word for it... I feel like everyone has a bad self and if you don't let it chew on something every now and again it gets cranky. I could never enjoy drawing or looking at pictures like that - dark, nasty books are my particular poison. Everybody has their own thing, it's just a matter of admitting it or not.
