My Funny Picture

Very odd, but interesting dream? I had a dream like the movie "Inception"?

I had a dream this morning that this girl i know who is my age was a little girl again and she was sick so i brought her goodies and stuff and her boyfriend was there but her boyfriend was 17, our age, the age he is now and she was still a little girl. and me and him started singing her a song and then i woke up but i was actually still dreaming and still sleeping in reality and i was in this shark tank with tons of people i dont know and someone popped the top off and we were trapped and right before i drowned i woke up but was STILL in my dream in reality and i was sitting there with my brother and i was like "I keep having dreams that im in dreams" and he was like "well thats weird" and then i picked up my phone and there was 3 really weird pictures ive never seen. 1st picture was my brother and he was laying in his bed but at the same time he was coming through the window. so their was 2 of him. 2nd picture was this random house and there was a guy at the front step looking at me 3rd picture was what looked like a picture of 2 people a man and woman and it was from like the 40's and it was a black and white picture and then i was freaking out cause i knew i was still dreaming in real life and i couldnt get out and then my friend came and woke me up (in real life) and i actually woke up that time. do you find that dream odd? it reminded me of the movie inception. my brother thought it was interesting when i told him. what do you think? why are you guys being aassholes? I just asked you what you think about that dream. If your going to post something negative, get off of my question and be a dickoff too someone else.

  3. Personally, I don't put a lot of stock into dreams. Regarding dreams, Dr. Allan Hobson of Harvard Medical School said: “They are ambiguous stimuli which can be interpreted in any way a therapist is predisposed to. But their meaning is in the eye of the beholder—not in the dream itself.” Dr. Hobson was saying that emphasis should not be placed on interpreting dreams because even psychologists interpret them differently. For example, one person can say that your dreams mean you are wanting to be in a committed relationship, another person can say that it means should marry a man from England, and a third person can say it means you have a fear of intimacy. THESE ARE JUST EXAMPLES I MADE UP FROM THE TOP OF MY HEAD to show how different professionals can interpret dreams differently. Don't let someone else make sense of something you are dreaming about. Only you and God really know how you are, so it's best to deal with yourself and make decisions based on knowledge of yourself while you are conscious, not based on some movie you are forced to sit through every night. (Matthew 10:30) I remember having a dream that I was pregnant and giving birth. I don't place a lot of emphasis on my dreams, but if I would have told someone they would have probably said that the reason for the dream is that I want to have children. Such a person would not know how wrong they are. I don't even like dealing with other people's kids, and I loath the thought of having my own (I believe it's called being a childfree person). But if I would have listened to such advice and went out and got pregnant, I would be so absolutely miserable since that is not what I want for myself ever. Research has been done to show that dreams (even the recurring ones) keep our brains healthy in some way, perhaps by categorizing and storing stimuli that we have taken in. You don't have much control over what appears in your dreams or how it appears. However, if you don't want to have nightmares, then you shouldn't watch horror movies or play scary or violent video games since that stimuli can appear in your dreams. Even scary sounds can appear in your dreams. Other than that, just enjoy the show! But I will give you some advice: Ever since I started filling my mind with positive stimuli by reading a chapter of the Bible each night right before going to sleep and meditating on what it says, my dreams have been much more pleasant. You can try doing the same.
