Why do I look weird in pictures and in the mirror?

When I look straight at the mirror, I look good, but when I look at myself in he mirror from a different angle, I look weird, like my face tilted or something. Why is that? Why do I look weird in pictures? How do I figure out how I look to other people- when they look at me from a front angle and front side angles?

1. I had the same problem. In my bathroom mirror I would stand while going pee and look at my side view and it made my head look fatter than it really is. Then later I noticed the mirror was slightly wilted or warped and even my arms looked slightly rounder in it. Also if you have contacts in or eyeglasses they definitely distort your vision.
