- Just a few suggestions; 1. Move that bookcase away from the angled door. 2. Hang interesting objects from the ceiling, ones that really please your eye when you walk in and that will keep her interested. 3. The pink looks odd w/ the cool wooden french doors. Use pink accents and tone down the walls. 4. Make sure you have a comfortable chair (I prefer overstuffed gliders) where you can comfortably soothe her to sleep in the middle of the night. 5. Install a sound system for soothing background music.
- Here is an amazing site! There are so many ideas that you can use! I agree with the no Disney or Animals because everyone does that. One of my original ideas for a future baby girl (we are adopting a baby girl from Haiti) is the LadyBug and DragonFly set up! I personally love the idea of little girls and bugs! It isn't traditional for girls to be with bugs, they are 'suppose' to be with princess and ballett, but that is too typical for me! I do agree with the comment above, watchout how you paint the pink because it can clash with the floors. Assuming you painted it pick because you are having a girl, paint the two shelves (or maybe keep just one) the cream color of the walls. Just to off set the pink a little. Then add something on the wall, baby's name or just little words (baby, love, dream, ect.) the cream color. For curtains, I would double them. Go with something light on the inside of baby's room so it is easy on the eyes and matches, but something darker on the outside so it keeps the light out when baby is napping. You can double hang curtains so they match the inside of baby's room and they match the dinning room (I think that is what it is). Also this site is very price high, but like you said you are crafty and an artist, so I would suggest picking out your idea then visiting a local Michael's or Hobby Lobby store and makeing it yourself! I do this with my daughter now as she plans her own room. We pick it out then I make it! Good Luck and Congradulations with your baby!!
