U never gonna kw until ya r there :P Alhamdulillah; I had to spend part of my childhood in a village. Alhamdulillah; it helped me a lot to learn about life. Perhaps I wd never learn the hardship of life, if I wdn’t spend part of my life there. : ) Thank u Allah. :) Alhamdulilah; since I loved nature all my life, I was almost growing up wid nature. :) It was a beautiful green village; it has lot of cannels, ponds and paddy fields with lot of bushes. Where u catch live fishes, get fresh vegitables, fruits. Where u hv ur own chicken, ducks, goats, cows and u get fresh egg , milk, meat in every morning. Where birds fly around all year long. Where u grow ur own corps and live wid nature. :) where u hardly see a motor vehicles. Where ppl off to bed within 9 to 10 pm and wake up at fazar time (early morning abt 4:30 to 5 am). Where ppl hardly know whtz going on around the world. :) where ppl expection is having a place to live plus having food thrice in a day. :) where kids play wid soil and natural stuff/toys, like birds, goats, chicken or wild fruits etc etc. where ppl hardly know what is a computer. :P (well not now :P talking abt years ago : )) Where ppl hardly has debt and bills. :) where most of the houses are made wid tin, wood and bamboo. Where wild animals lives wid ppl, where nights r so dark and only lamppost is the moon. :) etc etc I kw u r liking it. :D I can’t tell u everything :P unless u r someone especial to me:P :D:D Alhamdulillah; in that place we have tin made litti Houses. :) SubhanAllah, it’s was a different life :) u not gonna feel unless u lived there. (most of the time its like “cats and dog” :P plants, grasses become so green that u hv to say subhanAllah. wherever u see its just fresh green and smell of green. Its like someone drawing a green pics or someone covered the whole universe wid a cute green blanket. However, during that rainy season sleeping in those tin houses and listening the music of nature, (rain sound is like, someone playing a music in ur ear. subhanAllah. wallahi, its worth more than million dollar. U just don kw until u r physically there. Plus getting wait in the rain and playing all sort of natural rainy games. Plus that rain, nature make u more romantic, emotional, generous, thinker, kindful, religious and helps u to be better knowledgeable, literature minded. U just love ur life and live as u want. Alhamdulillah; I almost did everything as I mentioned here, plus there r more things, which will take few days to finnish :P All the praise belongs to Allah. Alhamdulillah; I was a student of nature. 1. I am not Muslim, I am a non-believer but just like you I feel that rain is the sound of my heart. I grew up in the mid-west of North America, in a farming community, and the sound of every summer rain, and every thunderstorm would beat upon our roof and make a drumming sound that brought me peace no matter what troubles may have come. Now I live in the mountains and this place is in what is called the rain shadow so it rarely rains here, and I miss it with all of my heart. I understand you and I wish for you the blessing of peace and rain.
  2. Im one of those who goes opposite of you. I'm a town boy who had the privilege to kill my own chicken for food.. no seriously. Theres a difference between what to buy and "Hey, 'Lets eat chicken today. Go to our "Reban" (some private condominium for Chickens at the back of our house ;P) and kill some." Before that, all i know was KFC and other frozen stuff. I've come to the point of my life seeing the world in a different light. Its as if this world is like a huge beautiful fish tank with a well decorated island at the center. There fishes (ofcoz) and on the Island, us humans. ;) The one who create and maintain this beautiful fish tank is God. He observe, love His fish tank (EARTH) and everything on it. http://dvice.com/pics/nature-aquarium-2.jpg How we water our beautiful plants and flowers is how HE water His huge forest, RAIN. How we love and feed our pets is how HE feed us, his beloved 'pet'. He feed us with chickens, cows, fishes and more. He Love us too much. He create animals for us. For us to love, to eat, to learn, to be happy with, to play with, to be afraid, to be amused, to ride on (horses), etc. Imagine this world without animals. Imagine God feed us with Friskies(cat food) and thats it. ;) Imagine few thousand ants on that Island start making communities and nice places. They then name their places - New York, Dudai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Jakarta, Cairo, London, Mumbai, etc ;)
  3. . Sahih Muslim Book 7, Number 2982: Jabir b. Abdullab reported Allah’s Messenger as saying: Odd number of stones are to be used for cleaning (the private parts after answering the call of nature), and casting of pebbles at the Jamras is to be done by odd numbers (seven), and (the number) of circuits between al-Safa’ and al-Marwa is also odd (seven), and the number of circuits (around the Ka’ba) is also odd (seven). Whenever any one of you is required to use stones (for cleaning the private parts) he should use odd number of stones (three, five or seven). obviously Muhammed was a sex maniac who created Islam for his own benifit delivered Quran verses Qur'an (66:1-5) - Muhammed broke oath and skrewd hafza's slave and revealed this verse, once Allah made halal he can force any wife or slave for sex Qur'an (33:37) - poor adopted son had to loose his wife, Muhammed wrecked a married life by this verse Qur'an (33:50) - Allah telling whom muhmmed can have sex, wives, "right hand possessions" Qur'an (33:51) - Allah telling muhammed to black mail his wives shut their mouth if muhammed perve on any slaves, or particular wife any day any time Quran 8:41 You should know that if you gain WAR BOOTY, one-fifth shall go to GOD and the messenger and his relatives, You will do this if you believe in GOD and in what we revealed to our servant on the day of decision, the day the two armies clashed. GOD is Omnipotent. Masha Allah, Muslim potraid God as some kinda third party agent telling thieves how to distribute things/money which they DONT OWN! .
  4. ameen=) walayykum alsalam
  5. Wa alaikum salam Really I do love rain and its sound and also bird's and frog's sounds during the day or at night in the silent village..I was born in the village just about 300 km from Jakarta the capital city of Indonesia where I live now I missed it so I am longing to back to nature.Alhamdulillah I still have a house in the village there so sometimes I bring my family to stay there for one or two nights May Allah bless us and guide us into the right path and we hope we will die as good muslims.Ameen
  6. Im one of the ones that Grew up in the west :P but what you described Sounds amazing! My mum lived in the Village so she tells us about it. Regarding the sound of Rain. When you get about 6 months of it you dont like it very much :P i like it Sometimes! Salamm!
  7. Wa asalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. You sound like my mother, lol, minus the tin roof and living with animals. She lived in a very small place, had a farm, always talks about how beautiful the rain season made the land, drinking fresh camel and goat milk everyday, etc. Although you say we don't know about life because we grew up in cities, it doesn't make us any less wiser. While the knowledge of those who grew up outside of cities, not as isolated from nature may differ from city-dwellers, it doesn't make us any more or less ignorant. Personally, I love the rain. Nothing makes me feel more at peace than a rainy day when everything is a different shade of grey and the plants seem more vibrant than usual in the most lovely tones of greens. I've written many poems and pieces about the rain too. Truly it's a blessing and a sign from God, subhan Allah. I love the sound of the rain too. :) It belongs to its own category of music. Since I was little I wanted a CD of rain and water sounds from nature. One of my favourite songs involves only a piano with the sound of a thunderstorm in the background. It makes it so much more reaching... in the soul, I suppose. I can go on forever about how nice the rain is. loool I used to want to live on a farm. :( Never happened though. May God bless and guide us all, if He so wills.
