Cheap, quirky gifts for family?

My family has had a rough year, all of them. I'm looking for cheap, quirky, whimsical gifts for them that will cheer them up every time they look at it. For example, one time, I got my mom one of those "Bad day books" from Barnes and Noble with the funny animal pictures and she LOVES it. I want to get at LEAST one of the Bunny Suicide books for someone and I'm thinking about getting my mom or aunt (or both) the book "I Feel Bad About My Neck and Other Thoughts on Being a Woman" or maybe "Porn for Women" (it has pics of men doing chores and stuff haha). Any ideas for me, anything is appreciated =) I know I listed a bunch of books, but it doesnt have to be books!

2. i made my mom a little picture frame out of popsicle sticks when i was in the first grade and she still hangs it up all the time so maybe just a homemade gift would be nice
