My Funny Picture

I need seroius help redesigning my room!!?

Right now my room is scooby doo themed!! I did this when I was in 1st grade, and now I'm almost 15 years old. Right now my room is full of stuffed animals and little toys and junk from when I was little. I wanted to do it farm animal and I had this great horse border and everything, but I quickley grew out of this idea because I realized it would probably turn out just as bad as the scooby doo is!! lol!! I wanted to do it animals so bad but I've finally grwn up and want to do some sort of vintage theme. I want a grey color and black and white pics and stuff, but I'm not sure exactly what to do! I need someone to show me a good vintage color and give me good ideas for the room. I also have a rat a guinea pig a rat and 11 bettas in my room and need some cute ideas on how to store their cages and bowls! Thanx!

  1. pale colors, you know the ones that are popular around easter, like light yellows and oranges and blues and greens. :)
  2. Well. If your looking for an Edwardian theme room there is some beautiful photographs taken during the 20s of Alexander Palace home of the last Tsar of Russia Nicholas II who abdicated in 1917. There is some beautiful photos of the Imperial family in everyday and formal settings. Which they used to hang on walls, have on dressing tables, above chests of drawers on screens etc. If you look at the Grand Duchesses rooms which are really adorable (They died when they were 17 to 22 in 1918). There is borders of butterflys and dragon flys above the doorway and beautiful lights. If you wish to see these photographs go to Alexander Palace.org and click on Grand Duchess Olga and Tatiana's (big pair) room or click on Grand Duchess Maria and Anastasia (little pair) room. If you want more help on these rooms go to http://forum.alexanderpalace.org where wonderful people can come to help. Hope this helps.
  3. How about a verternarian theme? First paint the walls a sage reen, sky blue, or beige (my choice) color. Then find a coupld of nice prints that a vet might have in their office. If you can find a metal rolling cart, you could use it to put your pets on...and it would look like an exam table. You would also need a desk - what Dr. doesn't have a desk? And what student doesn't need a desk? Your bed needs to have hospital green or bright white sheets and one of those hospital type blackets (as a spread) Maybe you can find a lab coat at a thrift store or yard sale. If so hang it on the back of the desk chair. Use some of the stuffe animals as props. Put bandages on a leg and a leash around a neck, etc. Hope this helps.
  4. First, you need to do a serious clean-out. Take some trash bags and put all of the things that you no longer use or want into those bags. You can give them away, sell them on e-bay, give them to the Goodwill/ Salvation Army. Whatever you do, GET IT OUT OF THERE!!!!!! =D Then, you can go to Target, Kohls, or a similar store. There they have lots of really cute bedding, room decor, ect. for cheap. You'll have a brand new room in no time!!! Good Luck and I really hope you like your new room!
