I have a training question about my dog?
Jeezez Freaking Christ...This is the 4th time I'm trying to post this question and its not going through. NO, I dont have a training question about my dog, but figured if I put that in the main question line it might go through. I am in the process of deciding whether or not to purchase a real rabbit coat. (Deciding because of money and the fact that I have 5-6 winter coats in my closet). People close to me have stated, "Why would you buy that, people are going to be looking at you and you might upset someone by wearing REAL Fur?" (hhmmm...Personally, could care less) Question: Do you have any issues about wearing real fur? Here are some controversial PETA ads....enjoy http://savethekales.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/peta_billboard.jpg http://www.patriciaebauer.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/20081002_petaautism.jpg http://www.jewishjournal.com/images/photos/COM_peta_060305.jpg http://theartofeverydayjoe.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/image28.png Other Funny Dog Pictures: http://media.photobucket.com/image/funny%20dog%20posters/Huntersknoll/dognotamusedshirtzj6.jpg http://ihasahotdog.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/loldog-funny-dog-pictures-can-u-hear-me-now.jpg Nikko...why is this not appearing on the website?? lol I actually DID see a beautiful rabbit coat...and my insignificant other DID tell me that I might make some people upset...lol. But the questions today brought this to light!!! http://www.clothes-fashion.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/13/Isabel-Marant-Rick-rabbit-coat1.jpg Precious...just precious...lmao

- I wouldn't my nice snugly rabbit coat, but if I didn't watch the d*mn thing like a hawk, I would constantly see it disappearing round a corner in Tori or Jacob's mouth! After purchasing a rabbit covered training dummy which my "see it, hunt it & make a meal of it", rabbit hunting Dobermanns loved, the coat would make their eyes sparkle. If the meat is going to be used for human or canine consumption, I cannot see the harm in making the fur into a coat.
- I have NO problem wearing a fur coat. My first fur coat WAS rabbit when I was 13. I remember loving the thing and it was sooooo warm, BUT, I also remembered that is shed like a M-fer, and I am NOT kidding. My next fur coat (mink) was a Christmas gift from the Mr. on our second Christmas together. Considering that I just SOLD this coat last summer, and I've been married for 36 years, this was a fur that was meant to last. I also know the price differences in the coats and that first rabbit coat I got when I was 13, cost $100.00. Believe me, if I wouldn't been an only child, my parents would NOT have been able to spend that much. What ever you decide, let me give you a tip. If you do get a fur coat, any fur coat, the trick to making it last longer is to put in cold storage during the warmer months. Of course that will cost you, but a good fur coat will last you a lifetime. It may go out of style a bit, or not fit anymore, but will still be around for DECADES if cared for properly.
