1. The first one has a better CPU (i5) which automatically speeds up dependent upon processing demands. The second one has the i3 CPU which I think is crappy. The second one has a larger hard drive... it's twice the size of the hard drive in the first one. I would pick the first laptop myself because of the better CPU. Both offer minimal graphics so, if possible, I'd upgrade the graghics capability. It would have been usful to know what you would use the laptop for. Best of luck.
