My Funny Picture

What makes my scanner make these weird lines on these pictures?

Heres a Pic: http://tinypic.com/r/2chant1/7 do you see those weird lines? they aren't in the original picture. the printer isn't dirty, but the pictures are glossed, could that be why?

1. yeah its proberly because the picture is glossed or is too shinny

It's potentially possible that it's because of the glossy pictures, but I would suspect the scanner may not be working at it's best. especially at the resolution that you were scanning at, and maybe coupled with the glossy photos might be the problem, but a good scanner should be able to work just fine with glossy photos. You might try a lower scanning resolution or try a different scanner to see how it works. Most all Walmart's have, in their photo reproduction center, scanners that you can use to scan photos and save them if you want to try. Best of luck.
