How can someone get famous on youtube? What kind of video will get someone famous? Is it like a funny prank video with a whole bunch of videos of funny pranks?

I don't like him, but Justin Bieber was discovered on youtube and is becoming very popular with the pre-teens.
Do something like comedy or singing. You could get a group of friends and make a spoof for a scene from a movie, reenact something. Just think of something that would set you apart from everyone else; be unique, engaging. There are so many things you can do; you can become some sort of guru, or make reviews on a certain subject, whether it be movies, music, politics, etc. Make it your staple, and you could get a lot of views just for speaking your mind.
if you have enough talent and put it on youtube, then you will have success, post your video(as a video comment/responce) to a video of something related to it. Also haveing a better quality video with good sound:not to loud not to quiet, will make people watch it more, this means a good quality camera. look at some of the Virtual successess, Musician MattRach, Comedians BaratsandBeretta, and that douche kid that got successful JustinBeiber. (lol)
