  1. Meh. Typical snaps that *everyone* does nowadays. Keep working on it. And it's not the camera that makes the image (boy, I'm tired of preaching that)...any camera can take a technically decent shot; you have to have the eye for it. If you don't, no class in the world will help.
  2. it's ok, but you're work could be a little more original.
  3. I think your really good at capturing the essence of a moment. I quite enjoyed looking through your pictures and I don't really enjoy most that are put up on this website. You certainly live in a place where there is a lot to take of and a lot of experiment with. I do think that you should stay away from pictures that don't need to be a picture. For example picture 46 and 45 I don't personally see the point in taking a picture of that, there is no point and no feel to them. I loved your animal pictures, the squirrel was beautiful, the butterflies. But the picture that brought me in the most was picture 28, I really love Christmas lights. I thought this picture was amazing, made me go into a trance haha. But yeah the pictures with the ice, the last brown leaf on the tree, the vintage type ones from your city are just lovely. The portraits of the children and general close up shots just make me think 'oh what's that' it intrigues. My advice would be stay away from things that DON'T need to be a picture and keep practising. As for you other questions. I live in the UK so I wouldn't know and its always nice to upgrade to a new camera. It's basically finding a camera that suits you I think. Not always about quality.
  4. No, I won't go through ALL the pictures. There are 160 or so and from looking at the first few it is not worth it. Basically they are the same as many thousands of people snap at random with no though to anything really. For instance http://s898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/photography_luhve/photography%20modified/photography%20gold/?action=view&current=19336_1186415829739_1508591105_3040.jpg What was the point? What is it meant to be a shot of? or this http://s898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/photography_luhve/photography%20modified/photography%20gold/?action=view&current=19336_1186415789738_1508591105_3040.jpg again, what was the point? if the sign is meant to be the subject then it is out of focus. What is the point of the silly angle? or this http://s898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/photography_luhve/photography%20modified/photography%20gold/?action=view&current=26961_1250018339762_1508591105_3052.jpg Again, what is the point? That is as far as I got. It is hard to give you tips when there is just so much wrong with the stuff you have posted. I would say, as I did to someone else recently, start again. Forget what you think you know (believe me it is not much) and start from the beginning with the basics of composition, exposure, etc and for subjects look at sites such as www.photo.net or www.1x.com for some inspiration.
  5. eeh its a little iffy when taking flower shots--go more macro and get them from better angles. your off to a good start right now http://pocketxsizedxchica.deviantart.com/ these are my pictures(:
