how do i get something to appear on the news?

me and a couple of friends are planning the best most historical high school prank ever.. there will be no harm done to anything... we just want this prank to be rememered for a while scince it took years in planning and lots of money.. PLEASE HELP!!!!! just want to get this story on the news... thank you any information will be very appreciated...
