My Funny Picture

Why in the world would someone be offended by my taking a picture of a pet?

Posted a comment about the legalities of posting pics of other peoples pet's! Got some rude remarks. I don't understand why people would be offended. I took innocent pictures of cute animals and just added them to an album of pictures taken at work. Not exploiting or doing anything but sharing the adorable pictures of these animals.....why in the world would you tell me that you wouldn't want me treating your animal because of this? I am just curious as to why this might be offensive!!!!

  1. probably cause they take it as a personnel offence.. no law against it as far as i know.. honestly, i remember complimenting this lady on how beautiful her pet dog was.. which i usually do out of habit ..but then she turns and snaps at me.. am like..zonked..! some people like being offended.. actually nothing and absolutely no one can help them
  2. You should ALWAYS ask permission first. To some people, taking and posting pics of their pets would be the equivalent of taking and posting pics of their child without permission.
  3. Sometimes I think the most obvious parts of the beauty of nature are ignored, and replaced by strange "animal affection". Consider this, you're on a beautiful Caribbean Island, palm trees, clean sandy beach, crystal clear water, hot temperature, and you wanna widely smile and sing like a lunatic to some mosquito you see in the distance over by a trash can somewhere. You might even be crazy enough as to jump up and down and say how much fun you have with this mosquito. If you really "loved" animals anyway you wouldn't tolerate the idea of them being trapped to cater to certain peoples' "mental needs". Would you like to be unable to escape a giant alien that's showing you some kind of false strange affection that you naturally probably don't even want?
