My Funny Picture

Computer Question Windows Taking Pictures of Websites and Saving Them?

My computer does something really weird: it takes random pictures of websites I visit and saves them into strange files that I can only find when I download things from websites. I'll find files called M2JJLOUD and it will have like 120 random pictures from websites. The file names are all capital letters and numbers and don't make sense. The pictures include website borders and logos as well. How do I stop my computer from doing this? It has to be taking up a ton of space.

  1. This is all browser dependent, but it sounds like you're looking into your browsers cache storage. Your browser stores these images on your machine so that when you visit that certain website again, it won't have to download all the images again. This speeds up your browsing experience. Like you said, these files can take up a lot of space. If you're using Internet Explorer, you can clear your cache by going to Tools -> Internet Options. Then look for browsing history and press the Delete.. button. A popup should come up and then you can click on the Temporary Internet Files button. It'll ask you if you want to delete, just hit yes. It should clear this all out.
