Why do people do weird things with their lips in pictures?

1. Only 13 year old girls on facebook do this. Don't worry.

7. I find that people do weird things with their lips in most things. Such as in (but not limited to): Pictures, Llamas, Sandwiches, Hats, Twilight Books, Basketball, and warm weather.
8. it's mostly because people are so self conscious about how they look in pictures, and to some extent realize that the smile or lack of is what dramatically changes how they will look. so they will do these weird things partially to experiment with expressions and how they look, but mostly out of being undecided on what to do in the first place. a follow up question would be why do people seem to sometimes squeeze their lips together when they meet or see someone instead of the usual smile?
9. The phenomena is a socio-cultural accretion of the components of language expression. Various mutations of neanderthalensis incapable of verbal expression attenuate communication through non-verbal representations. In other words, if you can't talk make a dumb-ass face.
10. because they think it's cute. because they think they are being cute. sometimes they look cute. sometimes they should just tore those pictures apart.
11. I guess its a habit. Look at Nicki Minaj she always just that thing with her lips in most of her photos. Don't get me wrong I like Nicki Minaj.
