My Funny Picture

Which baby swing should I get? (pics)?

I really like the AC adapter features but I also like the 2 in 1s. Should I get an AC and buy a separate bouncer or buy the 2 in 1 with batteries? My theme is a gender neutral green with rainforest or jungle animals but I don't mind not using that theme with the swing/bouncer. If I do end up buying a separate bouncer, which do you recommend? 1. I would personally get the lovin hug swing and a separate bouncer.. always get something that has reviews on it... also make sure it will be compatable with your lifestyle.. traveling etc..
  2. Out of those 4 I would definitely pick the graco love and hug. I had one like the rainforest one (just different theme) and the legs would always get too close together or far apart from swinging and then make an awful noise. So we barely ever used it, and it was $200 here! Also; ours was battery powered and it sucked; we were constantly buying expensive batteries (even though we barely used it). If you get an AC one you won't have to worry about running out of batteries when you need them most haha. Bouncer's are pretty much all the same; go for one that reclines, has toys, music, soothing sounds, and vibrations. They have one that brings baby up higher for the parent; that might be one to consider since they can be closer to you and see things better.
  3. I have the Rainforest swing and bouncer. Both of my girls loved them. A 2 in 1 would be nice but I think the plug in feature is better. Most swings take 4 D batteries so it really does save you money to get one that plugs in.
  4. i would get one of the ones that is two in one cause you will save money and wont have to worry bout having to different things you kno wat i mean. hope that really helps and you make a good decision
  5. i like the first one :)
  6. Get the Rainforest swing! We have this swing and the AC adapter was a lifesaver! I cant imagine how much we would have spent on batteries without the adapter, its a MUST HAVE. The Rainforest swing is great ,my son loved the mobile and the soft tunes it played :) We still keep it in our garage for our next baby ( My son is 16 months old)
  7. My personal feelings. Don't buy a bouncer or swing until you can try them out on your baby. My daughter hated bouncers, loved swings. I know others who hate both, and some who love both. It can be a waste of money to buy one and then find out that it freaks the baby out rather than soothes them. :/ I also would recommend an AC adapter, since they usually have batteries you can use as well but the ability to plug it in is so much easier. I can't tell from looking at the swings how far they recline. You want them to recline almost completely, so they're practically flat, for a baby under 6 months. This is due to the fact that babies under 6 months shouldn't be sitting up when they sleep, if they do then they can have difficulty breathing. They've recommended that babies not be in a sitting position (until older than 6 months) for more than 2 hours in a day, including car seats, bouncers, swings, strollers, etc. (baby carriers on your chest are not an issue though since the mother breathing against the baby seems to keep them breathing more often.) I've been looking at swings because the one we have doesn't recline well so the new baby will get a new swing, if he likes them. And then there's the wide base. I've heard good things about the rainforest swings because of how far out the base goes, to stabilize the swing, so the baby is quite safe. :) But since it only has 2 reclines, I'd really go to a store and try it out before buying it. You can try them all out at Babies R Us, and a lot of them are at Target as well, if your Wal-mart doesn't have a good display for you to try them out. (Some Wal-marts do, some don't.) But I'd really want to see and then judge. But it's like... look at the pictures to this Papasan swing. See how the little guy has his chin against his chest? That's a bad breathing position and is a dangerous situation for a baby to be sleeping in. It has the same 2 point recline that the Rainforest one you were looking at has. So that would be a major negative for me. I want a full recline so they're basically laying flat on their back so if they fall asleep there's no problem letting them sleep there (with me nearby of course.)
  8. I have the rainforest swing and my daughter loved that. Right now they are not making rainforest swing anymore. They got new product coming out. The stores might be running out of those. Swings take a lot of batteries. So this reason why I got the rainforest swing. Where I got my walmart had it on clearnace. I like the others has well.
  9. the first one
