I have weird expiriences in my mind! Am I mental?
OK, so whenever I hear a certain song, I mean any kind of song, it reminds me of something. I mean, if I listen to a jazz song, I feel like I'm in the middle of 20's in NYC... and today I heard a song on the radio and I think it's was from the 70's and it was a beach-y song, and guess what, I felt like I was really in a beach in the 70's, with all that stuff. Also, in history class, when I studied about the 1900's, I could just easily picture the whole thing. Say, on the cover of the Beatles's album Abbey Road, there was a road with cars in it, and I just felt like I was in that picture! Am I weird? Crazy? HELP!!!!

- No, you're not disturbed. You just have a good imagination and like to let yourself get lost in the music. That's perfectly normal.
- heck no. the parts of your brain that deals with music are located all over your brain. Often memories come back to you when listening to music, as music and memory are in the smae part of the brain!!!! so, this would make sense, as the part where music is placed in your brain may be the same place as where your mind mentally pictures thing(that you may or may not have ever seen before) this kinda thing happens to me, and i like to think of myself as not being mental......
- No, i do the same thing i just get lost in my thoughts.
- you might have a high auditive/musical intelligence (high sensitivity to sounds and rhythms) - look into Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. people who score high in that area generally hum tunes to themselves, remember best when hearing something, and have the potential to be strong musicians or singers.
- No I don't think this means your mental but it is something I haven't really heard of. Do you play drums, guitar, or anything else and do you play it well? You might be too bored or lonely and you fill the gap with music, that's what happens to many people. I figure you just appreciate music and like to be involved with it. And you probably have a very detailed imagination to feel like your actually there.
