My dog sits sooo funny!?

My dog sits... diffrent. It's really hard to explain. She sits almost like a human, back on her butt. Further back than other dogs do. We tell her to sit, and sits like a regular dog, but if we tell her to stay or if she sits for a while, she 'gets comfortable' and sits.. weird. We've been to training class and even the teacher hasn't seen it before. lol My dog doesn't limp or seem to be in pain. In fact, she's always done this. For at least over a year or two anyway... (shes three) We've had vet visits since then so we know shes okay. No need to worry :D Thanks though! And the picture of the other dog is so funny! :P

I wouldn't worry about it if she is comfortable.
This can be a sign of hip displacia. Does your dog ever limp? Well, if she doesn't limp at all; she probably sits like this b/c its comfy :)

OMG that is soooo freakin cute. I thik your dog is HUMAN... I'd like to think my doggy is human in a dog costume. He's my Canine American. Your dog rocks! BTW I've never seen a doggy do that, but I'm sure it's just yourdogs way of being super cool for you!
the dog is just being laazyyy...lol....try getting him do more activities
its okay if your dog sits like that he is just comfortable sitting like that you shouldn't be worried at all its just the way he likes to sit!

Your dog is a relaxed and happy dog. Don't worry about it. Just like people dogs have their little quirks.

LOL... maybe it has a bone disorder... like the X or O in human... why don't you drop by a vet and ask the vet for help...

Oh, that's so funny! She sits even more weirdly than my dog... he is another one who actually sits on his bottom, rather than on his haunches - not sure with him whether it's cos his legs are so short...lol... but even he doesn't sit quite that upright! BTW, there's absolutely nothing wrong with my boy's hips or musculature - the vet just figures he's comfortable like that - so as long as your girl isn't showing any signs of discomfort when walking or running - just enjoy having a bizarre dog!!
