I like him, but I'm not sure if he likes me!?

I really like this guy but I'm not sure how to handle the situation. I've known him for a while - met him through a friend on a night out. Since then, we have been in contact, talking on the internet etc. He's always asking me to include him in nights out. So on Saturday night, a few of us were going out and I'd asked him to come along too. We all had a really good night, but when my sister was taking a picture of us sticking our tongues out I turned to him...and we started kissing. He came back to mine for a party and we ended up having sex. He stayed overnight, and in morning we had a really good chat. We are both 21 and went to the same school, even though he was the year below me, so it was a case of "oh do you remember this teacher?" etc. He made me laugh a lot, and when I moved he cuddled into me. We went out for lunch together, but then I had to go do family stuff. I've been talking to him on MSN and I asked if we were okay, like still friends, and he said yes. But I don't want to be just friends. How do I know if he is just a player or is really interested? I've had a lot of bad relationships in the past, but he is a really lovely guy. I asked him to come to the Fireworks display on Saturday, and he said yes. But now he has said that he is going with friends. Please help. I don't know what to do!

1. personally i think asking him out would work and that he does like you because on the whole players don't tend to stay friends with those the 'play' with, so if you manage to stay Friends for say the next week you should ask him out and see what happens next
2. i had a similar situation once. This guy seems genuine so go to the fireworks display with your friends and if you bump into him then great. flirt with him so he knows your still interested. try and get him on your own then have a chat with him and tell him how you feel about him, hopefully he returns the feelings. if you dont see him there then just have fun with your mates. leave it a few days after fireworks night and if he hasnt contacted you, contact him and ask him out. men like it when women take control sometimes. x
3. hiya, he could be staying with you for sex,so if you want to know or sure if he likes you, and its not the sex he is after then don't give him sex for a few days or weeks. then you will know for sure its you he likes.x
