Funny dog moments?
I'm sort of having a down day today, and what not a better way to cheer up then funny dog stories! Feel free to share lots of funny dog stories. Make sure to include the breed, and maybe a little description as to why you like this breed (this might help people who are looking for a type of dog breed that would suit them, owner accounts of a breed are always helpful!) So anyways, I have a male fawn merle (he was one of two pups in his litter who were born with the funky colour, the other 6 were perfect) almost 1 Great Dane. Funny moments; He likes to get in my bathtub and try to turn the taps on because he likes showers. He's actually managed to do this before, and then he started to pounce on the drain, trying to find out where all of the water had gone. Ah, memories! Feel free to add funny pictures too. My Dane description (since there wasn't enough room in my original post): Danes are stubborn, huge, expensive, require quite a bit of excersise (after theirs joints have matured, and it has to be safe excersise, i.e - not running them for an hour), powerful dogs. However, they are lovable, goofy, trainable, and loyal to those who have the patience and room to house them. They require an understanding owner (I.E someone who doesn't have many breakable things they are attached to, have you ever been whipped by a Dane tail?!), who has done much research on them, and is willing to commit to a giant breed. (Dane owners, feel free to add on to this, I'm too cold and I have to go get warm) I thought I would add a picture: http://sneffikines.deviantart.com/art/Zaner-2-84015944 ^This is how he likes to sleep.

- I shmoopy snoars like a big fat guy when she sleeps- which I of corse think is the cutes thing- she had yet to get controll of her feet and when prancing down the hall could not stop herself and slamed into the wall... My boy likes to tell me he wnats in buy smooshing his nose on the sliding glass door and blow snot bubbles...Awe mastiffs snoaring snot bubble blowing cuties:) Love my babies
- Haha alright...so Saturday we were out in a field playing ball with Zoey (female black tri aussie...loyal, smart, obedient..sometimes) and I ran inside real quick to get the camera. She was sitting at the door when I went inside, and as soon as I turned around she was gone. Well turns out she had wondered to a parked car where two ladies were getting out of the front door. Zoey wonders right up to the front seat, jumps in the car and puts her head right on the drivers lap. Not even a month ago I couldn't get her NEAR a car. I dunno, it might be one of those "you have to be there" moments, but it definitely gave everyone else a laugh (with me standing there with a face the color of a stoplight)
- My tootney also snores loud when he sleeps. He barely has a nose. It is so small. He also smiles alot. He likes to come up to me and smile where his bottom teeth are only showing. The funny part is that all of his teeth is not in yet, so it looks so funny. He also laughs out loud when I lay him in the bed on his stomach and starts tickling him. I love my tootney!
- my puppy is always following and he cant go up stairs and he just tries and practices trying to go up stairs so he slips after a step its pretty comical and also he has a little soccerball toy and he pounces on it and since he is small he cant put it in his mouth (no homo). he is a pomapoo and he is brave he made goldens scared and when they barked at him he just stays still and he is omly 10 wks old
- when i said in a charity fun dog show that my dog could pick things up if you dropped them, then the judge droppped her pen excpecting my yorkie to pick it up....and he just looked at her as if to say "what do you want me to do ?" It taught me not to fib! But every ones eles dogs could do this that and the other and i didnt want to be out done. That was pretty embarrasing as there was about 100 people watching me and i was willing my dog to pick the pen up !
- About 2 and a half months ago I ended up adopting a dog from the shelter, no clue what mix or how old, but my guess is 7 months now and about 30-35 pounds, and has some husky in her I think. She was about 20 when we got her. She's a strong one. Anyways, to the story, I was taking a shower and we'd only givin her maybe 2 baths by then, and she always sticks her nose into the back of the shower, and I see her little black nose poking through... Well she definately got the urge to hop on in with me, knocking me out of the shower. She just stayed in and tried to eat the water as it hit her, not noticing I fell out.
- Well i have too . The first one is about my mix . I don't know exactly what he is but hes about 15 pounds and he has a white stripe on his face and these fluffly little ears lol. So me and my brother we sitting in his room watching t.v. and my brother was eating spegetti and he leaves to go to the kitchen to get a water. So i turn around because i hear something behind me and my dog had jumped up on the chair and from there started to munch down on my brothers food . His name is snickers and i was trying to be serious but i was laughing so hard it was hard to be and i sayed hey snickers no no , and he turns around with a piece of spegetti hanging out of his mouth and his hole face is filled with sauce lol . The other one is my pointer and lab mix. Hes about 60 pounds and he thinks hes a little lap dog . He loves the water and we have a giant doughboy pool . So hes perching on the ledge like he always does but this time we had just filled it up too high and when he jumped up to perch and put his paws in the water im going to say probably close to 6-7 gallons of water came poring out on him and it nocked him off the ledge and just drenched him !
- My eight month old pit bull does quite know the drop it part of fetching yet. So to get the game rolling I have two balls, one to throw and one to get her to drop the other one so I can throw the next you, one then the next again and again. After a while she wouldn't drop the ball next to me for the other, she would toss her head and send the other ball flying the other direction, then while I throw my ball into the kitchen I'd have to run after the living room ball to play with two again. After this happened again and again, I finally realized what she was making me do... she was throwing the ball for me so I would do the same thing she was. She'd just smile at me when I asked her to get both balls, like, come on don't you think its fun?
- Well, I have a yallow lab (cute, big, loyal, lovable, trainable...the list goes on and on. Grat dogs if you have children.) and one night he fell asleep on the couch. This is totaly normal for him because after a sertain time if day he will kick you off just so he can take his nap or go to sleep for the night. It's quite funny. Anyway, he was sleeping and all of a sudden i heard this growling noise and than a ton of barking. I just thought that he was awake and say a rabit in the yard so I didn't think much of it since I was in the other room. But when it continued, i went in to see what the problem was. I noticed that it WAS him making these noises, but he wasn't awake. He was dead asleep and dreaming. He was barking and growling and his paws were moving like he was running. It had to be the funniest thing I have ever seen my dog do. Now it is common for him to do it. Some times I wonder what he is dreaming about. = ) Another is when he was drinking his water from his bowl (which is pretty huge) and I went to refill it and he picked it up in his mouth and walked away with it. We played this game for about a half hour until he finally let me have it. When I did refilll it he put his paw inside and flipped it. Than we started the whole process over. We were at this for and hour and a half and went through 5 bowls of water. thank god we were only in my basement and on a concrete floor. = )
