My friend told me that my computer would run faster if I deleted my system32 but he sometimes plays pranks on?

me i wanted to make sure this wasnt another one before i do it. My computer is running awfully slow and anything that will speed it up will help

2. NO. Do NOT delete system32. Don't listen to your friend. System32, well it basically makes your computer, um...RUN. If he tells you to delete anything without using Add/Remove programs or stuff from your Documents he's joking.
3. without system32 your desktop or laptop will not operate

5. he was wrong its not system32 folder its actually win32 u need to delete it holds lots of junk and old temp files that slow down ur PC after long time of browsing the web without cleaning your folders... :D JK!!!!!!!!!! no besides acces should be denied on most of those folders isnt ?

7. I think you better choose your friends more carefully. Deleting your system 32 folder will destroy your operating system. Windows protects that file so you can't delete it anyway. Download a free copy of CCleaner and run it to clean up all your useless junk.Scan and clean the registry also. Check the start up items in CCleaner and untic the boxes of anything you don't need to start when you turn the computer on. When completed run a defrag on your hard drive from the system tools in the start menu. It might take hours to complete so be prepared.
