My Funny Picture

How do i display the contact display pictures instead of the little green msn icon for MSN Messenger 8.0?

For windows live messenger 8.0, on my old computer i somehow have it so that the contact photos are displayed instead of the little green msn icon for each contact... i was hoping someone might know how to do that =D thanks!
