What program do you use to make display pics?

i want to take like a picture from a movie and make a DP for msn, with it. but i need a program to do it on. i already know about photoshop. i dont need things that cost as much as that does and take as much room. under 5 G.( or w.e its called) its fine with me. and simple download. NO FREE TRIALS. please! thanks! oh and that has nice fonts to put on the pics as well!

1. I would use GIMP http://www.gimp.org/ and DaFont http://www.dafont.com/ GIMP is a free photoshop and DaFont is free fonts for your free PhotoShop! lol! Alternativly you could go to http://www.picnik.com/ and edit your photos their for free but its not as good as GIMP! (but its an online service) Enjoy!
