Cell phone water damage!!! please help!!!?

So last night my Verizon Palm Centro somehow ended up in a hot tub... I'm pretty sure it's a goner because it won't turn on, but every once in a while it lights up randomly like a fireworks display. I have an old phone that I can use, but I don't have any of my contacts, pictures, videos, calender appointments, etc. Is there any way I can get my contacts and all my info back? Do Verizon phones have a SIM card?
