Birthday GIFT IDEA FOR 17 year old BEST FRIEND!?

So my best friends mom just lost her job and I know money is really tight for them right now. I'm not sure what to get her cuz i want to get her something practical and something she will love. I was thinking of a picture frame and putting in a bunch of pics and framing this one message her mom wrote about her. See message below. And I was thinking of a team jacob silicon bracelet thing but I dunno if I should. Any ideas or feedback???? please help So, it's our last Christmas with you living at home 24x7! Next year, you'll be off to college and starting the next phase of your life. I know it's scary, but it's also exciting and I know you'll have a blast….meeting new people, expanding your horizons and learning about another part of the world. Believe me, Texas is another part of the world!  Of course, so is Pittsburgh! 1. make a scrapbook for her of you guys. they are really cute and thoughtful. or you could get a cheap picture frame and jazz it up, lol. put a picture of you two in it...and put the thing you wrote in it too.
