Do a lot of females like to be dominant in the bedroom?

My girlfriend and I have been together for a little over 3 years and throughout the relationship we've had a very good sex life with one another. Lately though my girlfriend who loves to take photos, requested taking personal photos of each other in dominatrix style as in her being dominant and me being submissive and being wrapped up with my mouth taped shut, and just being very submissive looking in the photos, she even mentioned one photo of me on the floor and her with a boot on my chest looking at the camera. Now we've taken funny/weird pictures before, but never revolving around a sexual atmosphere sort of thing. I really have no problem trying and taking these photos as I am always up for something new and am pretty freaky in the bedroom, I guess. But do a lot of females like to play a dominant role or like trying things like this? Also do you think since she'd have me wrapped up and stuff that it'd be too much of a request to ask if afterwards she maybe finishes the photos and get's sexual while she has me in that position?
