Did you think Slum dog Millionaire lived up to the hype?

I think it's heavily over rated. Almost as over rated as the dark knight. As far as I know, it has won best picture. I'll admit, there were a few good, emotional points in the film. However, it became boring, repetitive, long and seemingly exaggerated, and the storyline became dull and predictable. Plus, It took place in India, and had to display some subtitles.

I agree, I watched it after the oscars and I didn't get what the big deal was. IT was long and exaggerated, and I didn't feel any chemistry between the two leads. I just wasn't feeling the love story.
If this movie was made to force diversity on us and accept East Indians.... The movie was pure rubbish..and if it was made up of purely American actors, it would have won squat....
It deserved every Oscar it won. i just didn't see the other films winning. Me, my dad & boyfriend all took our time to watch the nominated films before the Oscars. We loved Slumdog more, especially when my father is a retired theater actor & strong movie critic. Others believed otherwise. Well, I can't insult bad movie taste. So I really don't care. I loved it, I bought it, it deserved all Oscars.
sorry, they won the best picture oscar award, you think it was not good cause that is your opinion and the critics nominated it and they one, who knows what good movies are? critics or you? lol
omg!!i cant agree anymore with you!!u r soo rite!there were times when u actually felt like turning it off n stuff!!.....dark knight was wayyy better!!slumdog millionaire is goood but not as much as the DARK KNIGHT!!
