Okay, I know it sounds crazy but someone please help me...?
Lately, I am ALWAYS thinking that I'm going to die soon. Sometimes I feel like I'm kind of phsycic, which makes me even more afraid because I feel like if I have this feeling, then its my phsycic-ness telling me that I am going to. I am healthy for the most part, and I know I'm not going to die soon, but I just can't help invisioning my funeral and I told my best friends and my family that when I die I want them to make collages and keep all my baby pictures. I told my mom and one of my friends that i don't think i'm going to live that long, but my mom just said "why would you even think about saying that'', and my friend just said I was crazy and weird. I need to get these thoughts out of my head, because they're making me very sad. I am usually a paranoid person about getting sick, because my family has a history of heart disease, and cancer, and my uncle recently died suddenly, so I think thats where all of this is coming from. However, I am only fourteen years old and I don't have any kind of heart disease or cancer. Please, don't leave any comments saying that I'm crazy and weird, because thats no help and you're wasting your own time by writing that. Thank you

- i think that you just have a paranoia of dieing mostly because your uncle died recently, and you know your family have a history of major illnesses, so that death has brought back all those thoughts. I get that feeling, and I get over it, too. I mean, you just don't worry about it. Also, the less you worry, the healthier you'll be, and the longer you'll live!! I don't think you're weird or crazy. =]
- Hey, Firstly i would say is relax. Everyone thinks about death from time to time but you should try not to over think it, its part of life and it happens. BUT as you are so young i cant imagine its going to be happening to you anytime soon! How about you speak with Your parents about these thoughts? or a teacher? Or if you do not want to go to either of these then maybe go to the doctor, they are trained to listen to your problems and you can work together to find the best way to make you feel better, it might involve seeing a councilor to talk through your thoughts. Or if you don't feel like doing that either then you could always try one of the free phone help lines, im not sure what part of the world your in but there are worldwide organizations available to help with these types of issues. Good luck & most importantly don't freak out
- Dont worry too much.. each one of us has weird thoughts and every one of us is crazy in one way or the other. I'm not trying to say that you are weird and crazy(lol) but that you are perfectly normal in thinking about death and psychic powers. Judging by what you said, you sound a like a hypochondriac i.e a person who excessively worries about his/her health. that is not a big problem, even i worry about my health a lot and think i'm paranoid most of the times!!! Just live your life, try to see the best in everything, laugh as much as you can and have fun!!
- People have always been obsessed with Death. It could be the fear of the unknown, but for sure it is not normal for a fourteen old to be so concerned with death.
- You could try getting some grief counseling - it's likely that you're trying to process what happened to your uncle and by talking things through it could be alleviated over time.
- dear caitlyn, first, you are not crazy but I do think you have a chemical imbalance. please do not be offended by this. our bodies are a stew of chemicals and goo and if one ingredient is off...the whole is not as it should be...so dear soul please tell a family member that you really need to get your self checked by a really good doctor. and ..i know this as i also have had overwhelming feelings of doom and am now much better by taking my daily med. fear not there is help but you need to find it from a real doctor ok I pray goodness for you
- No one can really tell you if your right or not ! And I do know that people sometimes get signs or do have feelings and some know when it is their time to go . They prepare themselves. And I do believe that people can feel and foresee things. I was a lot like that ! Had feelings and they was usually right on target - eerie feeling sometimes ! Maybe you could talk to your school counselor / psychiatrist if they are available and you feel easy about talking to them. Good Luck and I hope you are wrong with your feeling this time anyhow!
- relax. your not crazy just scared.you are letting your fears getting the best of you. tlk to your mom or some1 you trust. or you can tlk to a counselor if you feel necessary. this might sound silly but when i watch marry poppins or the wizard of oz it always makes me feel better when im upset! (=
- It's important to regularly monitor, and deal with a negative internal monologue (self talk), or mental process, such as disturbing thoughts, images, impulses, or emotions, by the process of (a): recognising it, and (b): challenging it immediately. Technique For Re-Programming Negative Thoughts: When you notice something negative, such as: "I can't do this/ am never going to get over this!" or: "Why am I always so pathetic/useless/such a loser?" or even an image, emotion, or a memory; recognise that it is being generated from the negative part of your mind. Having identified and labelled it, visualise a large, red, flashing, "STOP!" sign, and/or possibly a stern faced person wagging an index finger at you in a negative manner, then say to yourself as forcefully as you can, even aloud in a big voice, if alone: "I know this tactic: GO AWAY FOR A WHILE !!!" You may want to use either: "ruse", "ploy", "game", or "trick". In the case of an image, visualise a large "STOP" sign, or your preferred version. Some people go so far as to keep a wide rubber band in their pocket, then put it around their wrist, when they catch themselves backsliding, stretch and release it, as a method of reprogramming their mind sooner, but I don't regard it as being strictly necessary.
