Ok So, why are people you meet on the iternet, basically crazy? I mean, not all Crazy, but they're just weird.. lIke, nasty people. Even though they're like atleast 16, 15 or 18. Some of them are pretty nasty. Like this Schizoprenic girl i met on habbo hotel months ago and we became best friends. She would just start on me now and again, and our other friends that didn't do anything. She said she would burn me and all sorts lol. And her pictures are all bad, she looks SO tired, and her skin, she is 18(im sure) but she has laugh lines and everything. And this other guy Mikey he has it too, and he takes drugs and treats me like i'm naive because i don't try them.. i don't want to smoke or do aything like that. Surely somewhere he's not happy. And my name is bonnie so he's always harassing me calling me Boner, and i ignore it but then he's flooded the screen with "haha you're a boner" and signs out. And pretty much anyone, apart from my friends, are really nasty to me and say that a perve wouldn't go for me anyway because i'm ugly and its a shame im not hot. And this girl i exited a convo because she started on me and she added me :S so i was like.. ok O_O nd then she was like, EWWWWWW.. oh, you're pretty. NOTTTTTTTT. Seriously, i haven't even done anything and they're just really nasty to me. woops don't ask about the catagory lol. Erm and i'm 14 btw. I meet some of these people off habbo Hotel. And where i'm brought up i don't get that much things or anything and people online swear a lottttttt, and it's rly foul, and i don't know what's normal anymore, if i'm honest. These people can't be genuine. I mean, i swear now and again, but i don't abuse people like it or speak a lot of it. And they also said i would never see a penis LOL. And tell me to get fucked and grow up .. a lot. so i just ignore it because i need to be mature for that kinda thing, and i haven't even kissed anyone yet so what's the point. LOL I didn't go on it to meet people but Habbo hotel is like this fun addicting social game, and u just meet people on there in the game. And Yeah i don't talk to them i just ignore them when people start on me, and trust me i'm not stupid enough to do anything crazy. Because i know there's a lot of saddoes on the interet who just want one "thing" But i was just wondering what they're trying to do, or why they are doing it, they don't seem like the kind of people who get bullied though. Because online they're popular. Lol.. Yah i know i ramble on. LOL. I do have friends i real life and hang out with them, but i had hip surgery and wasn't allowed so i stayed on the computer in bed for a rest, obv not 24/7 but there you go. lol OMG i don't want anyone to tell me i'm pretty You don't even know what i look like. And i don't ENTER CHATROOMS, LOL. It's for 13 yr olds... but obviously not all of them are 13 yr olds. And i'm not that annoying.

i couldnt be botehred to read this all but the short answer is dont talk to them? you are 14 so young get out there and meet new people, do things that will give you experience because once you get to 18 its too late for all that you gotta think of your future and your career. theyre probably just 50 year old pervert wierdos.

because people try to be all mature and grown up. some people pretend to be something theyre not, or something they want to be. people can be horrible because online its not as personal to them, they have no idea who they are talking to and can be rude just because they can get away with it. i used to go on habbo when i was a teenager but people suck. youl learn that as you get older x

Okay! GROSS! If you're fourteen, you really shouldn't be entering chat rooms. people prey on people like you. Obviously you're looking for someone to tell you you're pretty so here, YOU ARE PRETTY. I really would advise you to find a chat room or find a forum that is for teens your age, instead of going to any old one. Find a chat room with room moderators, something of that nature, because i doubt you'll listen to me if I tell you to stay away from rooms like that. What you need to do is create a new screen name that you and your friends can chat on. DO NOT REVEAL ANY INFORMATION. Be smart for goodness sakes.
It's really easy to act like jerks when people are hidden behind a computer screen. It's safe, nobody knows who you are, you can say whatever you please (well almost) and never be caught by anybody you know. Anonymity does that to some people who have no self esteem.

People on the internet are jackasses because of two reasons: -Anonymity -Audience When you talk to somebody online, you're not talking face to face. You're just a screen name on somebody's screen and they're just a screen name on your screen. It's easy to lose your sense of compassion for somebody you'll never see. Add to this the knowledge that other people can see it (or the thought that you'll tell others about it) and it becomes like their 'joke' is being seen by more people. I know this, but I still have to remind myself to not complain about people's spelling or grammar when answering questions.

Wow, sorry you had such a huge surgery at such a young age. Look, theres always going to be lots of riffraff in any venue you might entertain. Whether it be the internet or school, or even a sports game. Wherever theres a gathering of people, theres bound to be some bad apples. Use your moral compass to determine who you will share your time with and avoid those who you know are bad news.

There is a solution to your problem: getting out in the real world, with the real people. Yeah, I do go on Habbo sometimes and everything but that's not my top priority. Try to get more active in the real world so you won't be that affected by virtual stuff.
i think with the net, some people feel more open to be themselves because they are not necessarily face to face with the folk they are addressing. therefore, you can feel less inhibited, your guard can drop, and you let your humour emerge. by the way, please don't stereotype schizophrenics, we are no more violent on average than your average allegedly sane person. personally, i am as soft as newly fallen slow, and everyone who knows me well thinks am kind hearted, patient, genuine and generous, but never violent. schizophrenia is an illness, not a personality trait.
Is very easy to say or do things behind the computer, so some people start becoming kinder crazy when they are in front of the computer, those people are already sort of mentally sick, they obviously cannot do it in their real life outside the computer and is so easy to hide behind the computer... You just have for your own safety to make sure your parents are aware of what are you doing or talking to, never give away any information about yourself, never do anything they may ask you to do and you are uncomfortable doing it and never meet anybody in real life without doing the two things talked before this and make sure you bring somebody with you the first times you meet them in a public space where you can be surrounded by people.
there is an option to block people, right?? i don't know anything about habbo hotel so i can't really say anything about it, but if people you end up talking to on it are that bad maybe you should just stop using it :s
