My Funny Picture

does anyone else think this is as funny as i do? (about old people with electronics)?

my grandma and mom both have digital cameras and instead of looking at the screen that displays the picture while they are taking it they continue to peer through the little tiny square at the top of the camera like it is one of the disposable ones..i find it quite halarious but it is annoying because every time i tell them they will be like oh yea and like that the lcd is bigger but continue to look throught the square while taking future pics! haha my gma just did this and i found it funny and worth asking about..

  4. haha ya i do
  5. How is this a question???
  6. i love that. go on youtube.com and type in frnk tv-andy rooney. it is halarious.
  7. I do that sometimes, and I'm 17.
  8. Its funny, but for them its just habbit cuz they grew up with it.
  9. haha...I know what you mean. I have a setting on my camera to block the use of the little hole to see in. So when my mom goes to use it, she looks at the screen now..shes learned after years..haha
  10. Haha yea its hilariously annoying!!! But you gotta love old people lol
  11. Bahaha, I do agree, my grandpa does the same thing. It makes me so mad and I always tell him he doesn't have to do it and he doesn't listen I just find it funny. Old people and electronics these days haha.
  12. very funny. ..i love old people. . .
  13. It is kind of funny, but actually the good, high-class for photography digital cameras don't have LCD displays for taking pics. It is only used to look at settings and pics you have already taken. So they are half-right, they just don't know it ;)
  14. you should see old people trying to pump gas. I work at qt (quiktrip).. at least 4 times a day, some old woman asks for help on how to do it.. no offense to any old women btw.... it's just odd../funny/ kind of annoying.. x[
  15. lol! that's hilarious mi little bro does that he is only 5 tho
  16. They just have not gotten used to the new camera yet is all. I personally don't find it funny at all. Especially since either way works, and some people have been known to purposely turn off the LCD screen to save battery life. Another thing to consider is that all professional cameras still have you look thru a viewfinder, not at a LCD screen.
  17. That is funny! It is just because they are not used to having a screen to look at. They are just doing what they have done in the past, and will probably continue to do in the future!
  18. My daughter has told me that people over 45 will never be able to use cell phones - I am the prime example because I manage to hang up on the caller almost every time I try to answer. Unfortunately, you will find yourself in the same awkward position as your mom and grandmother one day, so I suggest having a bit of compassion. :>
  19. My mom does the same and it does look kind of funny and ironic. But I guess old habits die hard, and it takes a while to adjust to things that are new, according to them.
  20. not really tht funny mabey if i was there it would be. but it isn't funny over the internet
  21. Technology has changed the world greatly in their lifetime...and what you see as something so simple is confusing for people of the older generation...exercise some empathy and don't make fun of your elders. It's like if someone dropped you suddenly in a new country and the people there poked fun at you for not knowing the traditions of their country--this new way of the world is a real shock to some older people and we need ot be patient to them. One day you too shall be feeling maybe in the dark to your own younger generation...compassion...and yes-while mildly humerus the incorrect viewing through digital camera, I'd like to see you master using the square format Hasselblad camera or even operate a sewing machine as your Grandmother probably still can....then you shall see who gets the last laugh^^
  22. ahahaha i know exactly what you mean. i have a prehistoric dinosaur as a granmda and it is not good with technology. ps- i call my grandma a gma too!
  23. I don't understand old people and electronics. They aren't that hard to figure out. They say we grew up with them...but so did they? I think they're just too lazy to take the time to learn.
  24. Yeah it's pretty funny...but pretty scary too, considering we all will be old and decrepit like your granny. Hopefully though... technology would of advanced that far that we would look less foolish when operating cameras or computers or stuff because it'll either all be voice command or it will already know what we want to do beforehand.
  25. The better cameras don't give you a screen picture when shooting. You still look through the viewfinder. You can usually get a better picture that way as you're holding the camera closer to you and it's easier to hold it steady.
