My computer won't display any picture and the monitor is fine. What might be wrong?
When I switched my computer off there was a funny burning smell. Now when I switch it on the computer starts up and the monitor will switch on but will stay in standby as there is no signal. I tried another monitor and it just displayed 'no signal' so I figure it's not a problem with the monitor.

- Graphics card has probably gone pop ! try a different graphics card.
- If you are not getting a start up (splash/windows) screen you either have a bad video card/on board video or possibly a bad northbridge chip on your motherboard.
- Common sense will tell you if you smell burning in the computer, something is broken inside.
- Replace your video card and it shoud be ok
