My Funny Picture

My computer won't display any picture and the monitor is fine. What might be wrong?

When I switched my computer off there was a funny burning smell. Now when I switch it on the computer starts up and the monitor will switch on but will stay in standby as there is no signal. I tried another monitor and it just displayed 'no signal' so I figure it's not a problem with the monitor.

1. Graphics card has probably gone pop ! try a different graphics card.
2. If you are not getting a start up (splash/windows) screen you either have a bad video card/on board video or possibly a bad northbridge chip on your motherboard.
3. Common sense will tell you if you smell burning in the computer, something is broken inside.
4. Replace your video card and it shoud be ok
