How do I photoshop pictures?

I want to take the heads of people from pictures and put them on other peoples bodies, or animal bodies. Make funny pictures. Is there anything I can download to do this for free? Anyone know how?

1. I recommend GIMP, it has many features of Photoshop and costs nothing. You simply need to select the portion you wish to move then copy and paste it onto the new picture. The method you choose to select is the key. See the second source for a selection tutorial. GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
2. use lasso tool in photoshop to outline the picture u wanna remove from backgrnd save it as a layer and then copy layer to the new picture..!
