  1. • All games supported at 16:9, 720p and 1080i, anti-aliasing. • Standard-definition and high-definition video output supported That's the SPECIFICATIONS of the X Box 360. Hmmm, NO 1080P output.... So, USING the HDMI connection really doesn't give you any advantages over the Component Input..... Secondly, I have never heard of the Brand DSE..... That Spooks me because I PREFER a known brand, over an Unknown Brand.... You can get service and support for Sony or Mitsubishi or Hitachi or Samsung... If DSE is well known, you can trust it's supported.
  2. What it means is that you can only achieve 1080p through an external device that is connected to the TV's HDMI or component inputs and is outputting a 1080p signal. You're not gonna get 1080p through the TV's tuner but that's OK, nobody broadcasts in 1080p anyway. The Xbox 360 will output 1080p depending on the game. You'll just have to look at the back of the game case to see available formats. Having said that, I'm not sure how Au translates to U.S. dollars but $400 for a 19" TV sounds kinda steep and you don't really need 1080p on a 19" screen. I just bought a 32" Sharp (720p) for that price. *I'm just sayin'
