My Funny Picture

How can I use animated display pictures in msn?

I have msn version 2008-8.5. Does anyone know how I can get animated icons to move/work as my display picture? I have tried saving the picture as .jpeg and .gif and neither works. I have also downloaded msn plus, picture changer, which I cannot get to work. Somebody help!
