  1. yea its decent, but dont expect to play games or anything taxing on it.
  2. its resonable but consider purchasing a Dell. Acer is a little low on quality parts.
  3. While you aren't getting a bargain, you're not being ripped off either. Like Jake mentions, the weakness of it is the intel graphics card. More than up to the job if you want to play movies and DVDs, but you'll struggle to play even older games on it. As for Acer, I have a 5 year old Acer I bought for work (I'm a developer) that is still going strong and is currently in service as my wife's main machine.
