Can you get in big trouble for prank phone calling a friend?

We prank called a friend and she threatened to call the cops. She doesn't know its us. Should we be worrying? Lucy, that was immature Thank you prengrant woman with a baby we didnt harass her or do anything like that so i dont think we will get in big trouble

Yeah, that's harrassment. I'm sure the cops would just talk to you about it the first time, and if it kept happening you could get in trouble. If it was just for fun I'm sure your friend will understand, but if it was mean I would not continue doing that. Put yourself in her shoes. Good luck!

If the calls were frequent and you racked up significant phone charges, you may also be required to pay for those. As for the first answerer, I don't know if she was intending this or not, but just as you were talking about prank calling your friend, she was "prank-answering" you - and I notice the comment you left about her maturity. You might take a look at your own commentary, there, with respect to your own situation. In any case, if you think the situation could be diffused by telling her it was you, then you should do that immediately.
i doubt she will. me and my friends do prank calls constantly and we say some pretty offensive things and no ones turned us in. and even if she did all youd get is a slap on the wrist. but if shes your friend then just tell her it was you. plain and simple.

If she has a caller I.D., then, you and your friends could get in trouble. You could get fined, suspended, grounded by your parents and who knows, go to jail.. So, yeah, you kids could get in trouble..because this is considering a verbal, mental, and emotional abuse.. Think before you act!
okayy i have been prank calling since i had a phone, and i asked my dad,hes a lawyer, and he said as long as its not harassment you can do it....but that mean you cant keep calling and it cant be later then10:00 on the weekends (because thats when ppl sleep) and the worst that can happen is you get fined hope i can help
