Is an arch inside a church weird? All the pictures I have seen show it used outside.?

We are getting married in a really old church that isn't used any more, so we will have to really decorate it because it is very plain right now. I want to add some color with an arch, but is it normal to have one inside? I have seen lots of pictures outside, but few inside. If you have any ideas about how to decorate it without using a ton of tulle I'd like that help too! (wedding style is kinda rustic, not real formal) Thanks

1. I don't think there is anything that dictates that you have to use an arch outside, they are just most commonly used there because churches are generally more decorated. If it will work for your church, then use it, just make sure it is okay with the church. If you don't want tulle, then just use a lot of ivy.

3. Honey don't get caught up with what is "normal" this is your wedding, do what makes you happy. Had I not have tried to conform to what the norm is, my wedding day would've been much happier. There is no such thing as the norm anymore I have seen many "non traditional" weddings that turned out gorgeous.
4. Ive been to 37 wedding and all of them were indoors and all of them had arch. My wedding will be outside and I will have a beautiful arch. we're gonna keep it simple since its outdoors. but if you are having it in a church you can decorating the front portion only with your favorite . go to a flower shop and ask for a sample.
5. I went to a wedding last year where they had two arches inside up the aisle, attached to a couple of pew ends (if that makes sense) they decorated it with gypsophila... it looked very pretty... i think you should do it... it will look very rustic and lovely
6. I went to a wedding August 2006,and they had an arch inside, and it was decorated very nice. They used silk flowers, wedding bells, and plastic dove pieces which they bought at Micheal's. I t look very romantic, and everyone raved about how gorgeous it was. I wish I had a pic to show you.
