How can i take better pictures? I come out weird sometimes :(?

I need HELP! me and my friend are doing a contest on who can take better pictures of themselves and so far mine are the most retardedest things i have EVER seen! HELP!

ahaha yeah...some if us just werent fortunate enough to be the photogenic type. you should just experiment with different angles and lighting to see what works best for you! good luck with the contest
practice your poses in the mirror first. look at some of the best pictures of yourself that you have ever taken and try doing those poses.
To get good pics u need to look natural no poses! Also dont look directly at the camera look just above it or somewhere else. And dont smile too much. Hope this helps
just relax - it helps if you take them randomly like when your laughing or having a good time. you should just keep taking pictures until you get a good one.
use i photo editor like gimp its a free download so you can fix little issues and make the picture the best it can be but on second thought its hard to learn to use so use the one on photobucket just download your pictures then click edit!
be yourself, don't pose like way too much
umm well first make sure there is good lighting, and then put on some makeup...and do yurr hair, and um then you should be good to go!!
