Why do Hundred Dollar Bills have stamps/symbols?

I always find these weird stamps on US Hundred Bills......like "pancho" or a picture or some sort of symbol like a fish or "batman" etc etc. Is it the work of Drug dealers? banks??? Please fill me in!!!

  1. definitely not banks-just wise asses
  2. Dear - You never buy 100 bill from small dealer? In Israel - to stamp 100 bill with some symbols or initials is common in private 'Exchange' shops, even in privat transaction, where is cash "in work" people use this stamp to made "sign" on bill, and in the case that some fake come on, they can verify or refuse to return/change it for original if it is without "my mark". It must be that some of bill arrive back to USA soil, by tourist, who mostly buy US banknote from "privat" dealers! best regards Chastven Miloje http://balkanstamp.blogspot.com http://serbiastamp.blopgspot.com
