- Well honestly I am concerned about the water conditions here. What size tank do you have these fish in? It looks like a bowl in the pictures. Kissing gouramis can grow up to a foot at full size, I keep these myself, so if you have five I am hoping that you have them in an appropriately large tank. They may be small now but if you keep them in a small tank while they grow you will stunt their growth. Have you tested your water for nitrites, ammonia, or nitrates? I suspect that these levels may be high and is causing your gourami to grow these liaisons or sores. How long has it been since you have done a water change? Has your tank fully cycled before you got these fish? All of this information would be helpful in a diagnosis here but I am pretty certain that these are sores resulting from poor water conditions. This being so you will need to eliminate the problem by doing more frequent water changes and monitoring your water parameters. In this situation it is not a matter of medicating the fish, it is a matter of improving the quality of water. I would also make sure that you add some beneficial bacteria to the tank like Cycle and also something like Stress Coat too help heal wounds and improve the protective slime coating on the fish.
- One of the reason the fish might have anchor worm below the mouth. Anchor worm are parasite, they cause red stuff in the infected area. Treat it with salt (1 teaspoon per gallon) Add medicine if you like (antibiotic, parasite remover) What could also be the reason is the size of the tank. I looked at the picture, it did not have proper filteration, air pump, and lights. You should move them to a proper tank with all the essential items. You should also test the ph, ammonia, general hardness, nitrate, nitrite. If you find them high or to acidic, or akaline, you can chemically alter it. For more natural result, change the water. You can also try to clean the tank up. change 30% of the water and add salt to it/chemical to remove harmful things in the water. Hope this helps!
