I found a bag of money. I have a dilemma.?

I found this bag of money on a park bench in Newark, New Jersey. It was all weird…Strange colors with these pictures of what appears to be Queen Elizabeth. I was totally disgusted. I counted all the denominations, which totaled some $11,400.00. I gave it to a bum that I saw. Now I’ve found out that it could have been Canadian money, and quite possibly worth something. Did I make a mistake? Someone told me I could have gotten a couple of hundred US dollars from the bank? Is that true?

first of all this is obviously a joke. If you REALLY found a bag of money, why were you disgusted? And if you find a large quantity of money and don't turn it in, you could get arrested. why would you give it to a homeless person? Next time, when you wanna ask a question, make it believable.

You could've gotten $9,705 USD if it was Canadian money.
Sounds like English money, in which case it would have been worth about 6,000 of your dollars.
Even if it wasn't US money, it still may have been legitimate currency from somewhere. You probably should have taken it to the police.
Wasn't entirely a mistake... I'm sure you made the bums day (week/month?). Don't regret what you cant change, take pride in the goodness that came out of it...

i don't think you'l get $100. i turned in $13,592.53 and only got $85.60.
if that was canadian money- $11,400.00 would equal roughly 17 American dollars...you did the right thing
You did a good deed by giving it to the homeless person.. If you would of given it to the police likely one of the corrupt (if not all) cops would of kept it.. And you know the homelees person could of used it more then the police.. Although sorry for the original owner of the money...

Well if the money in the bag was Canadian which you should of been able to figure out unless you can't read. Anyway if it was Canadian money the exchange rates about $1 CDN = about .85cents US so that means you gave $9,690 USD Away Unless the notes were from the older series than they were most likey fake.
