My Funny Picture

weird pics, Google earth (space)?

Here are some very strange pictures of weird things I have found in the past 20 minutes, can anybody tell me what any of them are? Blue Silhouette: http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj101/bushpilot223/sil1.jpg White Silhouette: http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj101/bushpilot223/sil4.jpg Strange Blue Lines: http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj101/bushpilot223/sil2.jpg Strange Brown Spots: http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj101/bushpilot223/sil3.jpg Deep Space Explosion? http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj101/bushpilot223/sil5.jpg Please tell what they are! Thank you!

  1. the first two are sattelites. very unsure of the rest.
  2. These pics are WACK
  3. 1. alien 2. alien w/ a cold 3. alqueda's plan chart 4. politicians 5. nuclear bomb =D
  4. Im not sure, but im having the feeling that these pics seem hoax. Possibly made up pics of space (IMAGINATION!!)
  5. most look like light refractions, the blue lines are drawn in and the brown spots look like the focus app. on most cameras, but like a composite of more than one shot.
  6. The first two are reflections of the satellite taking the pictures. The brown spots are gas clouds and the explosion is a dying sun.
  7. If you look closely you'll notice that even those Google images without weird things in them aren't all that sharp or distinct. I suspect that the oculars and lenses used aren't of the highest quality. Blue Silhouette - probably lens aberration White Silhouette - sorry, I can't see it Strange Blue Lines - more lens aberration or satellite track or meteor track Strange Brown Spots - probably Google's attempt to show cool, red giant stars Deep Space Explosion - looks a lot like the "Sombrero Galaxy," but again with lens aberration distortion
  8. Strange....................... except " Deep space explosion" picture rest all seems to be man made......................
  9. Photos of deep space are usually photo processed in stacks to develop clarity and resolution. The idea is that you take many photos of the same area, each of which capture photons over the length of the exposure, and then add hundreds of these exposures together to collect the equivalent to a very, very long exposure. These images may be the result of failing to remove a bad photo from those stacks. The ghost in the first two photos are exactly what you will see in an out of focus newtonian telescope; an image of the scopes secondary mirror and its spider suspension structure.
  10. They appear to be lens flares, internal reflections, and various other sorts of imaging artifacts. The blue lines might be satellite tracks.
  11. The first two are probably Satellites. The next one seems to be like a Meteor, but also looks like some satelite trails. The next too looks like satellites. The next may be a star exploding.
  12. The blue and white silhouettes are images of the telescope secondary mirror. The scope was out of focus for at least one shot. The blue lines are satellite tracks for certain. Don't know what the brown spots are but I'm guessing rain spots, bad patches on photo film or faulty development. Deep space "explosion" is a bright nearby star and the pink - red flare is a light scattered from the bright star in the lens. It might even be one of the planets in our solar system, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn or Mars perhaps. If you contribute to the Galaxy Zoo classification site you see some of these things pretty often.
