Are Christians hypocrites???
answer to texjade23: I am not a Christian. Think what you told me. You told that the verse implied that somebody can hate his family in the sense that they are sinners? But doesn't it tell--Hate the sin not the sinner??? You contradict here. Also, about the HAIR thing. It's quite clear. Read the Bible.

- your question is too long for me to read but christians are hypocrites
- no Christians are not hypocrites
- Nice post! I totally agree with you...Check out: http://www.squirrelsisland.com and http://www.squirrelsisland.com/articles%20by%20me/questions002.htm
- christianity always has been an evil religion. even at its start it was in bloodshed. even those that say they are not true christians are two faced.
- No. :)
- OK... way too long. Perhaps but it in bite-size pieces and post a few times and then issues can be discussed more thoroughly.
- This is a REAAAAAAAALLY long post and I dont feel like reading it all. A simple answer is this: Some Christians are hypocrites, some are not. a Hypocrite is somone who puts a show on for others so to speak or says they do something good that they don't or don't do something bad that they do. All people do this to one extent or another but it is not a requirement for a Christian to be a hypocrite. If I tell you "dont cuss it's a sin" and I do it, then yes call me a hypocrite but if I say "cussing is a sin... but I do it" I am just being honest which is not hypocricy at all.
- Not all Christians are hypocrites.
- christians say God will judge then condemn me to hell in the same sentence. they are not nice people. i can feel energies off of people and christians and muslims have the worst energies. my advice is to stay away from the abrahamic three. they can be mean people.
- I don't think it's fair for you to make such a generalization, but, yes, some Christians are hypocrites. But some Jews are hypocrites, and some Muslims are hypocrites, etc. It's a trait that can be associated with any religion.
- The opposite of love is indifference.
- You are right christians are hypocrites. Im a christian but I dont have the pride to be blind to my weaknesses and flaws. What makes me a christian is accepted I am sinner and asked God to save me basically from my own doings and flaws because I cannot do it myself. NOW! me being a hypocrite doesn't make christianity vain so PLEEASE!! dont let hypocrisy be your reason for not finding the truth,
- You question is laughable. You are picking verses here and there, out of context, and turning them into the millionth Christian bash on Yahoo answers. I can't explain in a short answer all that is wrong with your little "theory", only to say you should really join a Bible study and ask these questions. You're highly misinformed.
- Some Christians are hypocrites, yes. But that does not mean that all are. In the Bible, it says that there will be hypocrites (Pharisees), but we should try to turn them from their wicked ways before it is to late.
- First, I admit that I did not read everything that you wrote, but let me say this: Every human being has some degree of hypocrisy, and every human being falls short at times of the ideals that their religion sets for them, and the ideals that they set for themselves. Christians are human beings. Some are very hypocritical yes. The ones who truly know what it means to be a Christian will tell you that they are not perfect, and that is why they need the forgiveness that it theirs to claim through Christ's death on the cross. And our job as Christians is to love, not judge. I try very hard to do this, but I fail sometimes. When I fail, at anything, I pray for forgiveness and ask God to help me do better next time.
- All organized religion is a con game, an individual loses his autonomy becomes one with the organization then won't feel guilt when he robs cheats and lies. It wasn't me, it was my destiny as this chapter says. The wise man follows experience not written word. Benjamin Franklin, Rod Serling, Kurt Vonnegut, all questioned religion and its ability to control through fear. Men use it to control other men, it has nothing to do with God. A cult comes by many names, to think for yourself is the greatest gift of all.
- Are Christians hypocrites? Well, many are. And here's the shocker, so is your average non-Christian! In any case, the Bible does teach that Christians should not be hypocrites. But let's take a step back. Why are you upset about hypocrisy? Who told you hypocrisy is morally wrong? Who told you that truth is absolute and that hypocrisy and lies is absolutely wrong? If you are an atheist who believe that life is an accident, from where did you get your moral ethics from? The Christian derives his moral standard from God, at least you have an external standard to adhere to and be judged by. What about the atheist? Where does his source of morality come from? How do you decide what is morally right or wrong?
- No they are not. Jealousy usually brings out the worst in people and your rant is a good example. I could sit with you and give you an answer for every question you have. Bet you couldn't or wouldn't be able to comprehend. Seriously, you can only understand if you listen. Many a fool are exposed by opening their mouths. God Bless Man.
- protestant mixed with a sprinkle of atheist ,and the doctrine of SO LA SCRIPTORA.just by reading you have a issues dude. First i would like to say that you CANNOT keep hanging around these people that have influenced you.ALL are sinners and fall short! I am not making excuses for anyone, all will have there reward.2ND if you cannot follow the ULTIMATE example of Jesus and learn love for your neighbor, peace, forgiveness, then clearly you are against him.3rd you can't possibly get all this answer in this space what were you thinking man? :) get well soon :)
- Hypocrites or not, we have sin problems indeed. We NEED Jesus. We could not make it to the Father's house without the mercy and grace of God. The church is the hospital for sinners. We deal with our sins. And when God washes our confessed sins away...what a feeling! So which of the sins do you think Jesus died for? I have good news! FOR ALL OF THEM! Everything what I have done, I am doing and I will do: All covered! Do not throw your gift away? Do not get fooled that you do not need it...we all need Jesus, admit it or not.
- You are "correct" on many issues, there are many "hippocrites" Christian or otherwise, keep in mind we are human and we "misinterpret, bend, change whatever it is, to suit the occasion; it does not mean that there aren't any sincere christians who try to do the right thing. I have been preached to about my "multiple marriages" by the same people who have "fornicated and committed adultery" and not once, was I given the chance to explain my situation, I just chalk up all these hipocrites to the mere fact they are human, let's not just pick on Christians, I've seen this in other beliefs as well, as for the Bible quotes, we could talk to 1000 different people and get a 1000 different interpretations, so my best answer/advice, tell them to "have a nice day" and get on with your life. We are all accountable unto ourselves.
- Well, I read the whole question you wrote, and I have to say that, some of the things you wrote are true about how most Christians disobey these laws, but also some things I think maybe you misunderstood the meanings. I think long hair meant REALLY long hair, I don't do any motions when I'm in church like other people, I think the part about hating your family is supposed to mean that everyone, including your family is a sinner, therefore you are supposed to look at everyone as a sinner and flawed, but not abandon them because you are a sinner too, you can't abandon yourself can you?, I believe psychis, mediums, all that is evil and I stay away from it, I definitely give money to different charities. I think the part about lending money at interest to your brother means you don't put interest on the loan, just with foreigners, meaning non-relatives. I also think since my child was born out of wed-lock, if you ask for the Lord's forgiveness for doing so, you will be forgiven, and your child, and children go to heaven anyways along with babies. A lot of the things you stated I knew, some I didn't, I haven't read the whole bible and I do confess that, I'm working on it. I think a lot of Christians haven't read the whole bible, and that is where the problems lie. I do however tell people the things that I have read, and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. However, I am grateful that you included things I didn't know, it just makes me want to read the entire bible, and realize the things I am doing wrong. I know as a Christian I am far from perfect, and one of the things you are SUPPOSED to accept as a Christian is that you don't know everything. Be humble. Thanks.
- Great post i loved it. Im not christian I believe when I die and my soul and energies pass from this realm to another I will b judged by many as my equals instead of one great spirit with one great book with the writings of my sins as well as others.I think i will b judged by the ppl and animals (yes i said animals i believe all things have a spirit from the blade of grass a christian will pluck and throw away thinking nothing of its toils to merely grow and live as its brethren do to the idiots that call themselves politicians and think theyre above others simply becuz they had money and could afford a proper school and had family with connections to gain power) that walked with and against me in this world. And upon being judged so shall i b weighed and if im found wanting i shall b punished and if ive earned that which i am deserving so shall i b rewarded.Ok my answer doesnt to b as long as ur post :)
- Long post, so it is impossible to answer all of your questions. But here is a good one "Eating pork is forbidden (Deuteronomy 14:8)". If you are so smart, how about all of those passages in the Bible where Jesus, Peter & Paul said that under the New Testament, "all foods are clean"? (Mark 7: 14-23; Acts 10:9-16 & 15:22-30; Romans 14:1-8) Now who is picking and choosing? And as far as certain people not being allowed in the Lord's congregation ("Bastards") didn't God (and Peter & Paul) expressly state that this command no longer applies because the blood of Jesus cleanses all "unkosher" people (Acts 10:27; Galatians 2:11-21). For an ordained minister, it seems that you selectively ignore the parts of the Bible that you want to. So you are the hyprocrite. Why should we listen to you or care what you think? Jesus I know, and I have heard about Paul, but I don't know you.
- Once again try to ask a lot of questions instead of all in one. You will probably get more people answering. Now for this question. To answer the first line. Yes we are, but so are most people. But we pray to Jesus and ask Him to forgive us and He does.
- JW is banned is several countries because it is a cult. You warp people's minds so they don't even want to visit their families. JW takes all joy out of life, including holidays, family, etc. Oddly, JW encourages you to be poor and unsucessful. What a bunch of loosers. People who try to leave discover that all of their JW "friends" will brand them and disown them. Now, that's a cult. http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/False%20Religions/Jehovah%20Witnesses/jw_exposed2.htm
- There is no way I am going to take the time to respond to that all. In the end it appears to me, though, that you have more animosity and anger than argument. Your seemingly arrogant essay of a question is, sadly, naught but biased rhetoric. There are indeed a lot of unintelligent Christians in the world and if anything you have hopefully made them think a little bit more than usual about all the things they don't usually pay any attention to. Now if only you would return the favor and think a little yourself. As your last paragraph shows, you do not even give people a chance to truly respond. You apparently have all the answers lined up for any possible attempted rebuttal. It all seems a little narrow minded to me.
- Many Christians are hypocrites, of course. Unfortunately, this "question" is concerned more with insulting Christianity than with hoping to reform erring individual Christians. The "question" contains many outright lies and gross distortions about the bible and true Christianity. Here are a few Scriptural thoughts to consider: (Romans 16:17) Keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them. (2 Corinthians 4:4-6) The god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers (Philippians 2:14-15) In among a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you are shining as illuminators in the world (1 Timothy 6:3-5) If any man teaches other doctrine and does not assent to healthful words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, nor to the teaching that accords with godly devotion, he is puffed up with pride, not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words. From these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions, violent disputes about trifles on the part of men corrupted in mind and despoiled of the truth Learn more: http://www.watchtower.org/library/w/2003/3/1/article_01.htm
- Individual christian is not hypocrisy. But a mass belief of christians are hypocrisy.
