Why do virtually all women with equivalent hotornot ratings reject me on online dating sites.?

So i put 3 pictures of myself on hotornot.com and my scores were : 7.6 (a mug shot which my ex girlfriend and others said looked "scary") 8.7 (wearing a button down shirt and khakis) 9.4 (a pic my friend took of me w/ my sun glasses on) I'm defintely not a 9.4 by any means, i think the girls must of liked my nice sunglasses :) So lets take the median of my scores, the 8.7. That picture also displayed my body so it put myself fully on display and wasn't deceptive at all. But heres my problem! Every time i "wink" or try to "request communication" using either eharmony or match.com girls reject me. My success rate is miserable! So this is what I did as a test: I took the best picture from each of 5 girls that I really liked on match.com that also REJECTED me and put them on www.hotornot.com. I thought maybe they were just way out of my league, but to my surprise, all of the 5 girls i selected had hotornot scores in the 7's. Not one single 8! Why am i getting rejected so hard? I'm beginning to think that i'm ugly.

2. It has nothing to do with your picture. It is your profile and the way it is written. I've had very similar results as what you described. Holler at me and we'll compare notes.
3. Thats why you should never post your pic on hotornot. You have to look good for YOU before you can appear attractive to others. Look for love in reality, not cyberspace. Good luck, cutie!
4. First of all, it's kind of shaddy to put someone else on hotornot. But as far as interent dating is concerned, there are is 4:1 ration guys to girls. In addition, pretty girls usually get tons of responses, I used to internet date and I would get at least 20 messages a day! You just have to patient, and don't take it personally!
5. Hot or not sounds like a ridiculous web site. Why would anyone subject themselves INTENTIONALLY to such a demeaning website. The women or men who think looks are whats important are very very shallow people and why do you want to be around those folks. As far as the other sites.Maybe your profile needs changing. It took me til I was 32 to find my ideal woman and I never worried about it.When she is the right one,you will both know it. Don't worry about it.Why dont you start working out to build muscle and a much better self image.Woman love confidence.
6. Women are different than men in many ways, one of them being, we're way more interested in what guys have to say in their profiles. With guys it's all about looks. With girls, you gotta make an impression with both. So....get your lady friends to help you write a profile that they know would really appeal to the gals. Take a little time and trouble with it and you should do a lot better. And lose the mug shot. Right away that says "loser".
