My Vista Home Premium Desktop recognizes the LCD TV (Sony Bravia 32V300A) as a generic CRT monitor. Have tried all the PC-In resolutions specified in the TV manual, different VGA cables, updating my PC hardware drivers, and all available LCD TV video fine tuning options in the PC-Input mode. Suprisingly, the refresh rate problem goes away when I select the PIP option while in the PC-Input mode, where normal TV broadcast is shown in a seperate window (Picture-in-Picture) within the Vista desktop display. My motherboard ( Intel DQ35JO) supports dual independant displays (VGA & DVI). Currently using the DVI output for my 19" LCD Monitor (which Vista has correctly identified and installed). Are there any Vista drivers specifically suited for the Bravia 32" LCD TV...the Sony website doesn't have any. My VGA output might improve if Vista recognizes it as an LCD TV rather than a CRT Monitor. What if I use a DVI to HDMI cable to connect my PC to the LCD TV? Any issues with that? Thanks.
