My Funny Picture

What kind of things can you do with Photoshop?

I'm thinking about getting Photoshop, but I don't know exactly what it can do. I don't want the super expensive type, though. All I want to be able to do is edit pictures and make them all colourful and pretty, not change a person to looking like a whole new person. If anyone has Photoshop and is able to make cool layouts for websites or avatars (like MSN display picture size) could you maybe tell me how ... or what type of Photoshop you have? Thanks. ^__^

  1. here are some things you can do go to www.luv2help.com it will give you tutorials to do
  2. Almost anything with photos or graphics. However, at your level, I would not recommend buying Photoshop. It's very expensive. A much better deal for most of us is Paint Shop Pro. You get 95% of the functionality for 20% of the price.
  3. make photos wierd different from there original stature or just play around
  4. You can sell frames and take alot of diffrent photos in diffrent sections
  5. Photoshop.. you can make pictures brighter, darker, black and white and back to color. crop (make it smaller) and take things and people out of the picture!! its a lot of fun to mess with!!!
  6. Photoshop is a very expensive high end program. They are currently working on an online version thatmight be free next year. You might want to try adobe photoshop elements. Download the 30 day demo from www.adobe.com. That program can do what you want. rob
  7. Photoshop can do anything when it comes to photo editing. Look at movie posters, logos, etc most are done with photoshop
  8. Go with Paint Shop Pro. It's just as good for the most part and still has all of the fun elements like picture tubes etc. Most of the demos you will find for Photoshop will be focused on photo editing. It CAN do all of the other graphics functionality but most people don't use it for that. WinGimp is an excellent free graphics and photo program that rivals Photoshoop and equals Paint Shop Pro. Look around the net and try different programs. Almost all offer a free trial for some number of days, usually 30.
  9. honestly you can do stuff like that with 2 free programs the first is ms paint if you have windows, you already have that if you have a mac, there is an equivalent on your computer the second is called picasa go to download.com search for it its by google those two are just as good as photoshop for simple things other than that, you can download a program called adobe imageready which is by the same company, but just with out a few features, but with features that photoshop doesnt have i think that with all three of these, you will have sufficient programs to do what you need
  10. I'm used to using CS2 and CS3. It would be a waste of your money if you only want to make minor edits, though. Older versions of photoshop can probably be enough to fit your needs. Layers options are easy to use in most versions...(oldest I've used was 8, maybe?) Image Adjustments Features: color balance, brightness/contrast, auto levels, red-eye correction, etc. Custom brushes will help(downloaded in addition to default set, which are mainly used for drawing.) Easier selction, burn and dodge tools. Lighting and artistic effects... And that's just the beginning. There are MANY different ways to adjust your pictures. n___n (If you want, you can look for CS2 and a keygenerator... lol.)
  11. I have Photoshop Elements, which is the cheapest one. It sounds like you aren't doing anything too complicated, so I'd say you stick with Elements if its just for light editing. But with Elements, you can -Change background colors, such as changing scenery. -Adding text -Adding effects to images, such as blurs, making it look like a pencil drawing, or putting textures. -Make images grayscale (black and white) -Change the lighting of the picture -Crop images -Use artistic brushes -Zoom in on pictures and change the color of them -A LOT LOT MORE Trust me, Elements is the way to go. 12. There are endless amounts of things that can be done with photoshop! The easiest way to learn the basics is look up tutorials on youtube or somewhere else online to see what other people have done.
