My Funny Picture

I recently just bought a new 2008 Gateway MT6728 notebook, is the laptop ok for gaming?

  1. No, it has an under powered CPU and the x3100 graphics processor it has is an intergrated model which means it does not have an independent graphics card and is not meant for gaming at all. You might get away with games like WOW with low to mid details but do not expect to play highend games like Cysis or The Orange Box with any kind of good resolution or details. Laptops for gaming will cost you $3000-$5000+ and even then they will only perform half as well as a desktop that costs less then half the price. Laptops just do not handle games well because good graphics cards are too big and require too much power.
