What is the website with the funny inspirational posters you make yourself? I was on a website where you could insert your own pictures into a "inspirational poster" with funny headlines. I can't remember that site now....any ideas? Thanks!

How do I make one of those funny 'inspirational posters' e.g picard facepalm? There are those pictures which are have a large black border and then there is writing underneath e.g. a picture of Captain picard with his hand on his face, then the word 'FACEPALM' in white underneath the picture. He has been working tirelessly to get it open and will be working long hours for a long time after opening. I want to give him a gift that says, I'm proud of you, you can do anything you set your mind to, I love you, I'm here to support you, and good luck. Tall order, I know. I don't want it to be too cheesy (ie engraved paperweight or inspirational posters) or funny. I'm going for meaningful and possibly even utilitarian - I considered a gift certificate for a massage/spa day but it seemed too trite and impersonal. Perhaps a piece of jewelry or really good pair of shoes (for standing in all day)? I was hoping to stay under $100, but would consider more for the right gift.

Do you remember the REAL motivational posters? Do you remember the original motivational posters? I'm sure you guys know which ones I'm talking about...the posters that used to be really popular in the 90's and early 2000's. They would have a picture of something generic like a mountain climber with a cheesy inspirational quote like "Keep reaching for your goals." Or maybe a picture of a sailboat with a quote saying "Full sail ahead" etc. I remember seeing them all over the place when I was in high school, and I guess they were part of the whole "self help" movement that was popular in the 90's and early 2000's. Of course, they were lame even back then so eventually people started making fake "de-motivational" pictures to make fun of them. The original motivational posters have been around for a long time...since about 1995 I think. But I only started seeing the fake de-motivational pictures a few years ago. I'm just curious if people remember the original ones. I keep seeing questions here, from people asking about "the pictures with quotes on them" and they're talking about the de-motivational pictures. It seems like they don't remember the original posters. To me, a parody only works if you actually remember the original. You know, like how a Weird Al song is only funny if you actually heard the original song. Ace Ventura...those are DE-motivational posters. I'm talking about the REAL original motivational posters. The ones that those pictures were making fun of. Do you remember those? I think the joke only works if you remember the original posters. LOL...yeah, now you have it. Can you guys help me with my novel? tips and advice will help alot! I would also like some honest feed back. this is a part ive started with i havent made a begining or a end or have a solid plot yet....oh and dont be too harsh im only 13 and this is the first attempt ive made to write anything truely lol: Today looked like it was going to be just as boring and dreadfully long as yesterday. We got our schedules today, and of course Kitara, Melinda, Casey, and me are all in the same classes again this year. Our first class today was math with Ms.Horowitz, the cruelest class. I walked into the cramped classroom. The room was filled with blaring voices and unkempt desks. The walls were a comforting yellow filled with inspirational posters. There were three chalkboards and 12 desks. I headed straight to the back of the class, and sat in the middle of the last row of three. No later than five minutes after I sat down, Kitara came skipping into the classroom and took the seat to my right. “Why are you so peppy?” I asked. “You’ll find out soon enough Amy.” She said, as she averted her head towards the front of the classroom so I wouldn’t notice her blushing. I smiled faintly, awaiting some sign of what’s going on. Another 5 minutes passed and all the seats were filled. Casey took the seat next to me, when the class started we were reviewing last years algebra. Kitara kept staring at the door to the class like she would make a run for it. “What are you searching for?” I asked again impatiently. “You will see don’t ask again it’s coming!” she snapped. I look towards the door, “Well excuse me”. There was a knock on the door but the room continued its loud chatting. Only Kitara, Jessica and I paid attention. Jessica ran to the door and opened it wide. She stood there frozen like she saw a ghost. I heard a sight chuckle from the doorway. Then principal Sanders walking in with the most stunning boy I’ve ever seen. His hair was short and light brown. His face was utterly impeccable in everyway. No acne, no scars, no facial hair, just beauty. He was wearing loose blue jeans and a button up shirt. I thought I was going to pass out. When I finally came back to reality, I realized that the whole class went silent and was also captured in his beauty. “Amy! Your on blush max right now.” Kitara whispered “ugh. I know but he’s so cute.” I babbled. “ Is he a new student here?” “I hope so…oh no!” “What?” I asked, “Look who’s trying to make her move.” Jessica brought him to the seat next to her (which is in front of me) and was chatting with him. “UGH!” Jeremy and Jessica turned around the same time and stared at me. “ Sorry I just…don’t get the math” Kitara snickered “ Well you should pay more attention then and stop talking then you would” Jessica snapped. I rolled my eyes at her. He gave me an eerie look and turned and gave her a fierce look that made her squirm in her seat. “That was kind of harsh Jessica,” he pointed out. She looked him up and down. He was as still as a statue. “Would you by any chance be seeing someone?” she flashed her pearly whites that would win over any man. Ugh she does this to all the boys. I mean she’s so mean and spiteful why does she get all the boys? “ Jeremy watch out the succubus is gonna eat you!” Zack and Tristan yelled. The class roared with laughter. “ Shut up! I swear I’m going to kill you guys!” “Oh were so scared!” the started to tremble mocking her. I couldn’t help from giggling and Jeremy also found it funny. “ Mr.Brenton, Mr. Daft, and Ms. Shinde, report to the principle’s office it’s enough of your chatter.” Jessica looked dumbfounded. “ But I didn’t do anything why do I have to go?” I started laughing louder until Jeremy gave me that look again. I stopped laughing but it didn’t stop me from smiling. I though Kitara was going to bust a gut. Her face was completely red from laughing. “ I said leave do you want to get in more trouble?” she asked. “ I’m going! I’m going!” Jessica looked at me like she was pounce on me and rip me apart. To make this even worse for her stickled my tongue out at her. “ Ill get you back don’t worry before the day is over I promise.” “ Ill see you then” I snapped back. She stomped off out the door and Ms.Horowitz asked for attention. When the class was finally over we got our locker combinations. My locker number was 33. When I finally found it was in the corner of the hallway, Of course.
